PART OF THE ARMY
Today in the car driving to the conference I told Pastor Moses about the strong oppression we always feel starting the beginning of January. We are hit with fear, doubt, discouragement, etc. We battle it all and don’t give in but it is a constant battle, a dark cloud always hanging around us trying to overwhelm us. I asked Pastor Moses if he experienced that here as well and he said he did. The oppression drives them to prayer. January 2 a dozen pastors got together in his church and stayed all night praying. They have fasting times of prayer often. Even today the women gather in his church for extended prayer about these conferences. Pastors and churches in many different places also gather and pray regularly for us. We know the darkness doesn’t want the Light to expand and will do anything possible to shut it down. Knowing we in the USA are part of a large army of prayer warriors is encouraging. I know people in China, Italy, Africa and many other places are also praying for us. So take heart, you are not alone. Your prayers join with those from many others praying in different places and in various languages. God hears and answers them all!
We know there is no guarantee that everything will be safe or easy, but we do have the guarantee that God is with us and whatever happens is for His glory. That’s guarantee enough! (January 15, 2020 Hyderabad, India)
Hebrews 12:1-3 There fore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Thanks for praying – but don’t stop!
