Matthew 16:18   And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

 

ON THIS ROCK

            Jesus: “Who do you think I am?”

            Peter: “ You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”

            = FAITH IN JESUS AS GOD COME TO EARTH to pay for sin

                        Jesus, God and Man, foundation of us, church

                        Church not built on pastor, program, music, etc.

 

I … MY HIS church, not mine, Moses’

            All about Him, not us!

 

I WILL promise, certainty, no doubt about it

            Been doing it for 2000 yrs, until returns

 

BUILD = grow spiritually:

know Bible, pray, faith stronger, holy

            Size not #1 – don’t know size of NT churches

            Spiritually grow

                        -“feed my sheep” (Jn 21:15-17)

                   -“Go, make disciples..” (Mt 28:19)

            Church must be growing spiritually

            All believes in church, including pastors, growing

 

NOT OVERCOME Satan not overcome

            Attacks much, but not victorious and never will be!

            China, Africa, India

            Satanists in New Hope – praying against us, still here
